Internships & Residency
Opportunities

Dismas House of Indiana offers dynamic internship and residency opportunities for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a unique, community-driven reentry program. We have welcomed interns from diverse fields, including social work, theater, public health, and more, and we strive to be a premier internship site that provides meaningful, real-world learning experiences.

Our internship program is designed to be flexible and impactful, allowing students to tailor their work to their interests while contributing to the mission of supporting individuals transitioning from incarceration. In addition to traditional internships, we also offer residency programs for live-in students looking to fully immerse themselves in the Dismas community.

We are especially looking for interns interested in:

  • Design work (digital and print media)

  • Videography/storytelling

  • Grant writing and development

  • Direct service experience in social work, public policy, criminal justice, or restorative justice

  • Your major and area of study
