Dismas cannot work without the support of our incredible volunteers. We rely heavily on students, churches, community clubs, businesses, individuals and other groups who support Dismas.
It is truly special when individuals commit their energy and time to show residents all the supportive networks our community has to offer.
Our volunteers help give our residents the feeling that they are not going through these new journeys alone.
Every Monday through Thursday at 6:30 we gather as a family for the evening meal, which is prepared by local volunteers who then dine with our residents.
Hundreds of volunteers prepare meals throughout the year, like the men of Keenan Hall from the University of Notre Dame. Keenan Hall has prepared meals for Dismas every Monday during the school year since we opened in 1986.
Dismas cannot work without the support of its incredible volunteer base.
Hundreds of volunteers prepare meals throughout the year and Keenan Hall,
from the University of Notre Dame, spend one night a week each to prepare the meal at our house.

Our home was founded in 1986 to provide transitional housing and support services to men and women who have been recently released from incarceration. We offer a variety of programs to assist our residents in their transition back into society.
There are many ways you can help further our mission. Whether it’s a financial donation or a gift of your time, your donation will be appreciated.
